Rich Johns shares AWRA message at Jimmer Fredette's camp
Former Saratoga Springs tennis coach Rich Johns visited NBA free agent Jimmer Fredette's 3 on 3 Basketball Camp at Glens Falls High School last week. Johns spoke to the campers about his Act With Respect Always mission and Fredette shared his Anti-Bullying message.
Fredette, 26, is currently an unrestricted free agent after a one-year stint with the New Orleans Pelicans. The 6-foot-2 point guard averaged 3.6 points, 1.2 assists and 0.8 rebounds in 50 games with the Pelicans. He was drafted 10th overall in the 2011 NBA Draft, out of Brigham Young University, by the Milwaukee Bucks before being traded to the Sacramento Kings, where he spent his first two seasons, and majority of a third, before joining the Chicago Bulls.
According to Jonathan Ebanks from fantasypros.com, Fredette has received an offer from Italy's Olimpia Milano of Lega Basket, and may leave the NBA.
