The Saratoga Palio race was established to honor the memory of Melanie Merola O'Donnell. O'Donnell was a member of the Saratoga Springs girls tennis team in high school and the program has continued to support the race in her honor.
This year, from left to right in the photo, Margaret Oppenheim, Keira Walsh and Mary O'Rourke (three current Blue Streaks players) volunteered at the race.
