Saratoga Springs, Saratoga Catholic baseball teams state-ranked

Great starts to the season by both varsity baseball teams in Saratoga Springs have been noticed by the New York State Sportswriter's state rankings committee. Undefeated Saratoga Catholic (8-0, 9-0) come in at the No. 6 spot in Class B and are the highest-ranked team in Section II.
Saratoga Springs (7-2, 8-2) was ranked No. 11 in Class AA, one spot behind Suburban Council rival Shenendehowa (9-0, 9-2) at the No. 10 spot and the highest-ranked team in Class AA.

Two things to mention. First, the rankings were calculated based on Tuesday's records so Saratoga Springs' loss to Guilderland was not considered, although the Blue Streaks have played so well this season it wouldn't surprise me if they made the rankings even with the loss. Second, the Section VII rep did not report any records so none of those teams were included in this ranking.
