Mr. Everything is having too much fun
CORINTH — Corinth senior quarterback Jordon Charbonneau certainly got a little fatigued Friday night at the Tomahawks' homecoming celebration, but it doesn't mean he wasn't having tons of fun doing it.
"Oh, I'm getting tired, but I'm having a lot of fun," he said after the 46-0 rout of lowly Stillwater at Corinth Middle School.
Mr. Everything tore up the Stillwater defense in typical Charbonneau fashion Friday night, rushing for five touchdowns and throwing for another on his way to helping Corinth improve to a 5-1 record on the season and a possible home-field sectional game — a first-ever for the school.
Charbonneau, the leading rusher in Section II, also acheived a personal milestone on Friday night, surpassing former Corinth running back Mike Weatherby's single-season school rushing record of 1,290 yards, set in 2003, with his 1,316 yards so far this season. Corinth still has one week of regular-season football left to play.
The Tomahawks host undefeated Hoosick Falls next Friday in what will certainly be a high-octane Class C affair. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. under the Corinth lights.
